Know the Latest Updates to the NIOSH Hazardous Meds List

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) released big changes to its hazardous meds list.

The NIOSH list used to be divided into 3 tables...Table 1 for chemo (mitomycin, etc), Table 2 for NON-chemo (spironolactone, etc), and Table 3 for meds primarily with reproductive risks (misoprostol, etc).

But these tables have caused confusion about true toxicity risk. For example, some chemo meds aren’t toxic to cells.
