Arbli (losartan) will be the first ready-to-use oral suspension of this angiotensin receptor blocker. Some pharmacies compound a 2.5 mg/mL suspension for pediatric patients...but Arbli is 10 mg/mL.
Confirm the concentration and dose for home meds...to help ensure patients get a correct dose in-house. Confusion between the 2.5 mg/mL and 10 mg/mL suspensions could result in a 4-fold dosing error.
