Nourianz Will Be a New Add-On for Parkinson's
Nourianz (NUR-ee-anz, istradefylline) will be a new add-on med for Parkinson's disease.
It's for "off" episodes...when scheduled carbidopa/levodopa wears off between doses and symptoms (tremor, rigidity, etc) return.
But Nourianz doesn't seem to reduce "off" time more than other add-ons...such as entacapone, pramipexole, or rasagiline.
