Ongentys and Kynmobi Will Be New Meds for Parkinson's Disease

Ongentys (opicapone) and Kynmobi (apomorphine) will be added to the growing roster of meds for Parkinson's disease.

They're for "off" episodes...when symptoms (tremor, etc) return between carbidopa/levodopa doses, especially as Parkinson's progresses.

Anticipate that these meds will be saved for when dose adjustments of carbidopa/levodopa don't help...or other add-ons (pramipexole, rasagiline, etc) aren't enough or aren't tolerated.
