Don't Rely on Color of Eye-Drop Bottle Caps
You can prevent mix-ups due to color-coded caps on eye drops.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommended years ago that manufacturers use standardized cap colors on eye-drop bottles...to help elderly and visually impaired patients identify their meds.
For example, they recommend turquoise caps for prostaglandins (latanoprost, etc) for glaucoma...tan caps for antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, etc)...and grey caps for NSAIDs (ketorolac, etc).
