A recent recall of a Broselow tape product is spotlighting med error prevention strategies when responding to pediatric emergencies in the ED.

Broselow tools use a patient’s height and a specialized tape measure to help estimate pediatric emergency med doses.

But a specific brand was recalled in December 2025 because it had 10-fold dosing errors...and a dose stated in mg/ML instead of mg/KG.
