Vonoprazan (Voquezna) will be a new Rx acid reducer.

It’s the first “potassium-competitive acid blocker” (PCAB).

Think of this as a fancy proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Both types of meds reduce acid to heal erosive GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)...but they work a bit differently.
