Nexletol Will Be a New Add-On Med for High Cholesterol

Nexletol (NEKS-leh-tol, bempedoic acid), a new oral non-statin cholesterol med, may show up on home med lists.

It'll be an option to ADD to a statin (rosuvastatin, etc) in patients with cardiovascular (CV) disease or a hereditary form of VERY high cholesterol...who need to further lower bad LDL cholesterol.

But don't expect Nexletol to be used very often.
