You may see patients admitted on Sunosi (suh-NOH-see, solriamfetol), a new Rx option for excessive daytime sleepiness.
Think of Sunosi as similar to armodafinil (Nuvigil) or modafinil (Provigil). All three are approved to improve wakefulness in adults with obstructive sleep apnea or narcolepsy...and are C-IV meds.
Use the "Sun" in the brand name as a clue that Sunosi is for daytime sleepiness...and taken upon awakening.
