"As-needed" antihypertensives are often ordered to tightly control blood pressure. But in most cases, this isn't beneficial...and it can increase the risk of problems such as HYPOtension.

Expect scheduled antihypertensives to do the trick in most cases...and for tighter control to be saved for certain situations such as stroke patients receiving thrombolytics (alteplase, etc).
