We're getting questions about whether statins (atorvastatin, etc) reduce flu vaccine efficacy.
This stems from new data suggesting that seniors taking a statin have less response to inactivated trivalent flu vaccines (Fluvirin, etc).
The theory is that statins may have anti-inflammatory effects...and blunt the response to the vaccine.
